Hamam the first Indian made natural soap
The demand for all-natural products has been increasing ever since people found out we live, breathe, and even eat chemicals. And when someone unearthed ancient beauty secrets and skin tips, the internet was flooded with demand for all-natural products. However, way before organic products were in vogue, India got its 100% natural soap which continues to be a favourite to this day.

Hamam Soap

A natural ingredient for cleansing is soap nut. These have a significant amount of saponifying agents used as detergents, shampoos, cleansers, and repellents.

In the present times, organic products are in vogue. People will tweak their monthly budget to buy products that only use natural ingredients.

Not many of you might be aware, but in 1931, The Indian unit of Unilever launched the first Indian made natural soap- Hamam.

The soap is made entirely of natural ingredients. It used vegetables and oils. The soap came out in a variety of neem, tulsi, and aloe vera extracts- all beneficial to our skin. Due to its natural composition and utilization of plants extracts, Hamam's popularity grew.

People often complain about acne and other skin problems. Hamam seemed to have become a crowd-pleaser due to its healing properties. Over 80 years ago, when the market was flooded with manufactured goods and there was stiff competition, Hamam stood out.

Being the first 100% natural soap made in India that protected the skin from pollution, acne, dust, and heat, Hamam stood out from all other products in the market.

Usually, many soaps contest on their aesthetics and claim to provide the best scents. However, Hamam delivered a pleasant fragrance, bright colour, and of course, the all-round protection from various skin problems through 100% natural ingredients.

It was only a matter of time before Hamam became every mother's choice and a household staple. In the present day, Hamam has moved its marketing strategy by organizing the #GoSafeOutside campaign for women and girls. It's working actively with the authorities to identify areas where females are most at risk. Hamam even tweaked its packaging to include self-defence tips.

Through its on-ground social campaign, Hamam has established itself as a trustworthy brand that has provided skin protection since 1931. And it has also become a brand that's tried to deliver a social message to Indian society.

I don't have any favourites, I just happen to like some people and things a little more than everyone and everything else. I daydream as much as I panic (something that happens a lot). I'm very nice, extremely amazing, and I have a lot of patience, but If you ever tell me that you think feminism is bullshit, rajma-chawal is overrated, climate change is not worrying, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos are amazing, not eating sugary food is worth it, and boldly say "Yaar history padhke kya hi karoge"- I'll smack your face to guatemala. Other than that, i'm the nicest person you'll ever meet :)
