Delhi Cantonment, also known as Delhi Cantt, is a part of Delhi that is steeped in history. The area has been home to the Indian Army since British colonial rule, and the military barracks and residential areas still stand as a testament to that history. But there is another side to Delhi Cantt that is not so well-known. It is said that the area is haunted by ghosts, and those who have experienced the supernatural events swear by their authenticity.

The most common sighting in Delhi Cantonment is that of a woman in white. The woman, said to be wearing a white sari, appears out of nowhere, only to disappear into thin air just as quickly. Some say she is a ghost that has been wandering the area for many years, while others believe she is the spirit of a woman who was killed in a car accident on the same road.

There have also been reports of strange noises, unexplained footsteps, and doors slamming shut by themselves. Many people have reported feeling like they are being watched, with the sense of a presence lurking just out of sight.

The most chilling story about Delhi Cantonment is that of a group of friends who were walking home one night when they saw a shadowy figure lurking in the darkness. As they got closer, they realized it was a ghostly apparition of a man who had been brutally murdered in the area many years ago. The figure vanished into thin air, leaving the group shaken and terrified.

These ghostly apparitions, eerie sounds, and unexplained events have earned Delhi Cantt a reputation as one of the most haunted places in India. The area has been rumored to be haunted for many years, with countless stories of paranormal activity and unexplained phenomena. But what really goes on in Delhi Cantonment when the sun goes down? Is there any truth to these ghost stories?

While the area has seen its fair share of battles and wars, there is no evidence to suggest that these events have left behind any ghosts. So, what is the truth behind the haunting of Delhi Cantonment? Is it really haunted by the spirits of the soldiers who died during the war, or is it just a figment of people's imagination?

As with most haunted places, there is no concrete evidence to support the claims of paranormal activity at Delhi Cantonment. Many of the stories and legends surrounding the area are based on hearsay and have been passed down through generations. Most of the sightings and experiences reported here were actually started as rumors. Rumors created by the Armed Forces.

And this is because the military does not like civilians to meddle in their daily routine. And with the city of Delhi expanding at an ever-increasing rate, these rumors helped in keeping the loiterers away at night, and even in the day.

Delhi Cantt is not the only example of this phenomenon. Other cantonment areas in the world also have their own sets of haunted stories and legends. In the UK, Australia, and some Middle Eastern countries, you would get to hear similar urban legends of hauntings around the cantonment areas.

What can be considered as the proof of this theory is that despite these reports of hauntings, the military personnel roam around the area freely and without any fear. And there have been no official reports of any paranormal activity or sightings by the military personnel. Simply because they know that nothing lurks in the shadows.
